Damien; anyone who quotes Marx is a mate of mine? Which Marx was that BTW? Groucho or Harpo? ;-)
Hy George :-) You STILL alive?
Like the site Sir! my favourite Marx quote springs to mind, The worker is therefore reduced to a minute part of a process, a mere cog in a machine. Work becomes an enforced activity, not a creative or satisfying one.
Don't turn around or I'll dye laughing .........
Thanks Simon; just got your email an hour ago and will read the attachment later as I'm currently in work... Alan
Like your site Mr. Corkish. Like your reviews but not sure I understand your long poem. I am going to take a look at erbacce... Simon
Not 'Fat' Jim the Shagger? He who shafted every woman he could get his hands on so long as she was ugly-as-sin? I thought he was dead :-)
Delighted to leave your rants here: most amusing but tinged with bitterness as per usual. None of you will be surprised that all the 'anons' are Jim Ferguson now a bog-dwelling tax-dodger himself actually but that's bye-the-bye. Good luck Jim :-) Keep em coming :-)
You're in good form Jim but as always; very repeat repeat repeat-ed
you describe yourself as a genius [warped] but how does that work ,whats the evidence or is it an aspiration if so join a queue . isnt living a good life enough unless you are einstien, newton, shakespeare or john lennon.
like the previous 2 anons,i had a good belly laugh but i cant work out why alan corkish wont type in a straight line ,something deeply complicated going on there.I bet he only eats spaggetti and not staight chips likes curves, not a bad thing but not when you are trying to sell books.I bet his typesetter is well pissed off.
previous comment .anon, i think had some home truths ,i dont think writing in a straight line is too much to ask for people of a certain age who find reading a struggle without having to work out what line they are on.Alan needs to take this into account when considering the grey market. need to go to bed now matron is calling chin chin
i thought the anon criteque was spot on ,alan attacked him for mispelling but thats a bit rich from someone who cant even type in a straight line ,he is obviosly drunk when he types poor lamb. i hear drinking is the main pastime in the isles of mann apart from avoiding taxes and then they fly to the uk for treatment.if they require treatment they shold be charged a tax dodgers levy.

Dear Anon; I don't think I should yake too seriously a moronic wanker with no knowledge of literature whatsoever and who can't even spell 'their'???
To the previous anon: Thanks for posting this, I love ironic humor!
tried to read your poetry ,something wrong with your keyboard the words and punctuation all over the place,at least the lovely pam ayres could type.go on a course and lern to type proper english ,i see you are from the i.o.m dont they type their the poor things.
Thanks for the rant about dogs... couldn't agree more. Hard core dog people are the dumbest, most arrogant people on the planet. God I hate them.
Thank you Mr. Corkish. It's been a rather storm tossed journey for me, but I'm still here. Was it all worth being bipolar? Had I to do it over again, bp and all, would I? Yes, a thousand times yes.
Bruce

Hullo Alan; I had hoped to see you out-and-about over the holidays but hear you are ill. I hope everything sorts itself out and you're soon back on the circuit. You are missed X
Hy Jim; you need your humour button tuning matey :-) BUT hows about George W Bush and Tony Blair praying for guidance to their nice Christian God before bombing the hell out of women and kids prior to stealing their wealth? Nice people huh?
re your rant on atheism, hate to be factaual re atheists are all nice people

3 of the greatest mass murders in history
look a bit more closely into evidence before fkying a lead kite
Your pages haven't changed for months. Hope everything is hunky-D your end my friend?
Good for you Elaine :-)
I'm keeping your window open when I'm done reading so I can listen to the jukebox. :)
I agree with most of your rants, especially the one about aniti-theism, i dont know if you noticed but the poem i sent you is me trying to rant about the same topic
Hy brian; send your work with a snail-mail to alan@erbacce.com and I'd be happy to read it Alan
Hi Alan. Great site, one I will be back to visit for sure. I&m interested in submitting to erbacce, but was unable to do so via the link on the site. I think the problem is at my end, as I dont use Microsoft Outlook. Any chance you can mail me an address where to send my work, then I can try again via gmail. Cheers. Keep up the great work!
Brian.
This is interesting site and I have bookmarked for later readings. Have read some of the stories and Heart in Heartless World made me laugh. I will return.
Happy Christmas Big Fella X Hope to see you before NY; don't be a stranger. X Sarah X
Thanks for the brick Alan:)
Hy Neil; thanks for stopping by... just had a look at your site; BRILLIANT stuff :-) http://www.radicalwriters.com/Site/Welcome.html Will post a 'brick' in my Wall of Fame linking you... Alan
Brilliant site mate. I love a prolific poet ranter atheist dude and you are all of these things mate. Keep up the good work.
I am lol at your rants. keep up the anger, it stimulates the grey cells of the ranter, the ranted-at and the readers... Beth
Sorry to disappoint you Mr B; maybe next time...
Well that is such a shame
Pleased to inform everyone that the reports of my death are slightly exagerated ;-) But thanks to everyone who visited me or sent cards :-) Alan
Heard you died last week. Delighted the grapvine got it wronng but u need to take more care Al. Your fone isnt answering. You havent replied to emails. Hope that means you are resting X Sarah X
Alan. Just heard about your narrow squeak. I phoned the hospital and they said you had been discharged today but I have been phoning your mobile which is switched off. Take care of yourself and if you get this before I get in touch phone me or pop in and see us. Love... Anna and Dave.
A word about The Raggered Trousered Philanthropists... it was by far the best production that I've seen to date BUT it still doesn't work. Let's face it; novels are novels and plays are plays and never the twain shall intermarry with any hope of a happy-ever-after outcome. TRTP is too expansive to be reduced to ninety minutes and as always I left the theatre with a sense of dis-satisfaction... Dear old Robert would be spinning in his martyrs' grave...
We've got tickets for next Monday for RTP :-) (Not 'quite' a millionaire yet sister ;-) XXX
Back again. I have discovered your erbacce fotolog. Hadn't realised you had published so many books. So by now you must be a millionaire Alan? Ha ha ha Take care (Oh and try to get to see RTP at the Everyman if u havent already been; superb production) XXXXXXXXXX
Thanks Claire; appreciated XXX
...just heard about your sister Alan; I'm so sorry, you must be devastated, I am thinking of you. XXXXXXXXXX
Angela was a hero Danny :-) A wonderful campaigner and a wonderful human-being :-) Are you on the Isle of Man? Alan
Alan, stumbled upon you having a rant at the pro-birch numpties on FB. Keep up the good work and thanks for the positive mention of my mother Angela.
Not too difficult a choice sister; Tory-Tory, Labour-Tory or Liberal-Tory... though as usual I think I'll vote for 'Bobby Sands MP; murdered by the Government' XXX
I have a sneaking feeling that u r not going to vote Conservative in the up and coming elections Mr C? :-)
Not an 'idiot' Si; and we DO like your work. Good luck in the competition... and thanks for the kind words :-) Alan
Hi Alan,
I've spent some time wondering round your excellent website. Thought I'd learn a bit about the person I'd made a fool of myself in front of. I like the poems very much. The love-poem made me smile as I was listening to that track on the playlist. The links are really useful as well and I read your CV. I shall return here.
Sorry again for being an idiot.
Cheers
Si
Thank you :-) Delighted you liked the poems :-)
You are a good writer and i hav enjoyed your site. I will return to read some more especially of your poetry :-)
Hy Will; Ringo is only slightly less of a nightmare than Mr Motion; an inane and pointless poet... a bit like the new Laureate Miss Duffer ;-)
I didn't need to Google you Joie; I've read a lot of your work and would be happy to have some stuff from you with a view to publishing :-)
Hy Laura; group meets 6.30 first Tuesday each month; see you there :-)
Really liked your work. But, rather alarmingly when I read your work, I hear Ringo Starr in my head. I presume mr. Motion isn't one of you biggest fans!
hi, alan--i was turned on to you by san francisco poet, clara hsu,

Happy Birthday Big Fella. Love, hugs and Kisses XXXXXXXXXX
No problem Lewis; glad you enjoyed the site...
That's for getting back to my submission so quick.
I came to see who you were and I really appreciate your work.
Hy Tom. YES, totally agree, a fine piece of writing, chokes me up each time I read it. Thanks for stopping by :-)
Hello
I came here by a strange and unforeseen route. Last week I was with my wife in the Magdala pub in Hampstead - infamous as the scene of the Ruth Ellis shooting. I had long been looking for a copy of the Cassandra article 'The Woman who hangs Today' - it is, for my money, one of the great pieces of writing in journalism.
I found it as one of your blogs from Dec 2006 - I just want to say thanks for posting this. It's a truly damning indictment of the established system as prevailed in 1950s Britain - it's a beautifully written piece, just a pity that it ultimately fell on deaf ears.
Best wishes.
Tom Cook (Fife Scotland)
Hy Sarah; yep we had a good time :-) Would you believe we actually got up and began dancing in the aisles? Ha ha ha If it comes to Liverpool I'll take you to see it. Promise.
York is nice at this time of year Elvis ;-) XXXXX
Hy Shimanta; thanks for stopping by you totally beautiful person :-) ...and 'Tom'? Smith? About time you got some culture lad ha ha ha (Or is it Mr Walton who has enough culture for both of us?)
Hi, Alan. visiting your site was an wonderful experience.
with regards
Shimanta
Beauty Al !
Good :-) I hope you took some photos when you were out wining and dining the other night -) XXX
Enjoying my new P.C.XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Nice of you to drop by Zak... all the stuff on the rant-pages is slightly tongue-in-cheek. Do you write?
Been roamin around your site. Mainly I liked what I read but hell you sure got something aginst dogs aint you? Me I like dogs. Yeh I know they can be sassy and snappy but there good company. I also tried to read your poem Glimpses of notes and I liked bits of it but other stuff was obscurate. All the best. Zak from Cal

You will be so missed Allan. I send you a giant hug and a special kiss. xXx
Freezing today all of a sardine.....strange. Things though, otherwise are good..And on your side? How busy must you be with all the submissions, hey?
Hy Charcois, how are things in Johannesburg? I'm enjoying reading your poems :-)
Whilst exceptionally new to your work , this site etc I am most definitely intrigued to discover more and immerse myself in what advice and knowledge you have to offer.
My day has taken a surprisingly interesting turn from the time I submitted some of my work till now, where I am thoroughly enjoying your thoughts and opinions.
Definitely worth my 'error' earlier....
I can't seem to add a comment on your blog but I see we are neighbours :-) I also love Hitchhiker's Guide and The Trueman Show (Latter makes me shiver)... thanks for stopping by sister :-) Why not send me some of your poems? Alanxxx
I very much enjoyed your art for arts sake short story, aswell as your 'love poem' poem.
I'm a writer too (naturally, oh alas arent we all?) Ive provided my blog if you ever have a chance to look at some of my poems and short stories.
Thanks
Sophie xxx
Ha ha ha; small victory sister; BIG one is to come ;-) XXX
Just heard about your victory over JMU!!! WOW! David and Goliath. You are as tenacious as that proverbial bull-dog. I'll be up on the Wirral end of this month and I'll phone you; you can take me for a drink with your new-found wealth ;-) ShellX
Ah that's sweet; thanks Jonathan, glad you enjoyed it :-) Alan
I read your story, The Heart in the Heartless World. It is very well constructed. Concise. Not a single word too many. Made me smile too. I am book-marking your page to read the others. Thanks for the trip.
You are correct Rachel; it's called 'possessing a brain'... you see we are all biased, we all have prejudices, the thing is to understand them and relish them :-) Do stop by again :-)
Your reviews are very biased Mr Corkish!
Thanks for the comments Degsy; not seen you at DGPS for a while?
